At first, I thought my ancestor’s breakfast resembled mine, cereal, eggs, bacon, toast, or pancakes, but searching through old recipe books and talking to my mother, I discovered many breakfast foods we know today are fairly recent, especially box cereal. Mom remembers having corn on the cob for breakfast. Most of our ancestors had dinner left overs for breakfast.
